Three Stories, Three Stripes is a three channel video installation exploring the spiritual
and somatic possibilities of running. Told from the semi fictional perspectives of three
Northerners, this work examines how speed serves as a response to inner city life in
Britain.
Set to a bass heavy jungle score with a soundscape informed by Black cultural
practices, audiences are invited into an environment shaped by sound system culture,
concrete jungles, and speed. Through intentional speaker placement, an auditory
crossroads has been built to sit within the installation.
Filmed and set entirely within Greater Manchester, this project is an experimental
offering to the North.

Three Stories Three Stripes was originally screened live at Aviva Studios in April 2025 as part of ‘Running In Motion’ an exhibition supported by adidas originals and Factory International
